Ethiopian Airlines will add three additional weekly flights from Addis Ababa International Airport to Heathrow Airport from 2 June through to 27 October this year – and soon could add routes to other parts of the UK.
The move will bring the carrier’s total number of flights to 10 a week to London during the near five-month period.
All flights will operate with the new Airbus A350 with capacity of 313 in economy and 30 business class seats.
The additional flights will operate on a Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundasy providing onward additional connectivity to several Eastern and Southern African destinations in both directions.
Ethiopian Airlines country manager for the UK, Michael Yohannes said: “The UK is an important and growing market for us and this increase in capacity reinforces our commitment to widen our footprint and paves the way to possibly extend our reach to other parts of the UK in the very near future.
